As a marketer, an online business or anyone looking to profit from the internet, there is one thing you need.

Building your list is the most important thing you can do as an online business.  Listbuilding is not just a good idea, it honestly is the only long term plan with any value.

When you have a list, you have a means of making money any time you like.  So you need to build your list, and your looking for listbuilding tips right?

Here are 4 tips to successful listbuilding, that if used will sky rocket your success.  Don’t assume that merely reading them and moving on will help you in anyway though.

I am going to tell you 4 REAL tips, that DO work IF YOU USE THEM.

Giveaway Events

Giveaway events are excellent ways to boost your list quickly.

First of all you need to go and find some giveaway events, and this shouldn’t be hard as they are everywhere.

Next you need to sign up for them.  In most cases this is free and you will only be charged if you want to have an offer for the customer, after they have downloaded your free gift.

You can use any old PLR from your hard drive, but it will work best if you re-brand it.  I recommend a new cover, and making sure the text inside makes sense as you don’t want a resentful list.

Add your offer to all the giveaway events you can, and you will see a huge increase in your listbuilding success.  It really works, so give it a go.

Just Ask

When you have a list you should be giving them great value for staying on your list.  If you don’t do this you are sabotaging your listbuilding activities.  Great so your offering value and your list love you, but have you actually asked anyone in your list to recommend you to others.

Think about it for a second.  You have been offering huge value, and your list appreciate it.  Why not simply ask them if there is anyone they know that would appreciate being on your list.

The best way to do this is to have a webpage up with a recommend a friend script.  This makes it very simple for people to help you with your listbuilding activities, and believe it or not, some will.

The Incentive For Help

This listbuilding method is a variant on the last, which can also go viral.

First you need to set up a 3 page website specifically for this method.  First you have page 1 for your current list.  This is where they use a “tell a friend” script, which once used will send them to page 3 where they get a free gift.

Page 2 should be similar to page 1 but gives them a small gift if they sign up to your list before sending them on to page 1 for the process above to repeat.

By using this method you list will happily recommend you to others to get something they want for free.  The newly recommended people come to see what the fuss is all about, and sign up to your list to get the product.  They are then taken to page 1 where they get a little product and then recommend your list to get the better product at page 3.

If your lucky this method can quickly go viral, and is a lot cheaper than standard listbuilding advertising.

Viral Marketing

This simple little plan is highly effective and you are going to love it.

First you need to make a status message on facebook saying

“This status message entitles me to enter the “win $100 from facebook” game.  For more info visit URL and to enter repost this message.  A winner shall be chosen at random after one week”

This very simple facebook message will go rapidly viral, as facebook users are known to be click happy.  While it will cost you $100 you could have thousands of back links from facebook, and all pointing to your sign up form.  This method will also generate huge interest in your offers very quickly.

I hope you take action on these listbuilding tips, as they really do work.
