Being a member of social networking sites like Twitter, YouTube, and Facebook are a necessity if you plan to properly brand yourself online.  Twiends has emerged as yet another great tool that network marketers can take advantage of to help build their social following to the max.

Where Does Twiends Fit In With All This?

Twiends is a new way to drive traffic to your Facebook fan page, drive traffic to your YouTube video page, and even gain more followers on your Twitter page, all from one place.

How Does Twiends Work?

First of all Twiends is completely free, of course with everything free there is a paid version that makes using Twiends much easier. Twiends has something called “seeds” that you can earn by doing various actions on the site.

If you follow someone you might get one or two seeds.  If you like someone’s fanpage you will get some seeds.  If you view a YouTube video you will get seeds.

You then can use those seeds that you have earned to have other people to view your video’s, like your fanpage, and follow you on Twitter.  As people complete actions in favor of your pages then your seeds will go back down.

Anytime you want more seeds all you have to do is complete more actions as we discussed above.  Are you getting the picture?

The best part about using Twiends is that you are not just sending just anyone to your page.  You can set your interest so you only will get actions from people that have similar interest as you do.

So if you want to attract other network marketers you can put network marketing as your category.  You can also select what country you want to target in your preferences.

The paid method of Twiends is pretty self explanatory.  You can purchase subscription packages that allows you to pay for so many seeds daily.

Why Is Using Twiends Important?

Most people would agree that Google has its fingers in all kinds of pies. The latest pie it is having a close look at and taking a slice of is the social networking scene.

Their latest idea is called Google Plus One – sometimes seen as Google +1 – and it supposedly gives you the power to rate a website if you decide you like it.

As you can see this isn’t a whole new social networking site. Rather it is a chance to get even more depth on the Google results pages. It appears to have been developed along the lines of the retweet feature or the like feature on certain other websites.

If you’re familiar with Facebook you know you can like something by clicking the appropriate Facebook like button on that page or website. Similarly if you see a tweet you like on Twitter, just hit the retweet button to retweet it to everyone you know on the site.

Google’s version of the thumbs up recommendation

Google Plus One follows the same kind of thinking. The major difference is that it is used in the Google search results to provide even more information for users when they are searching for something in particular.

The main thing to remember is that in order to take advantage of this new Google feature, you have to get a Google account. You also need to be signed into it for it to work otherwise you won’t see any of the recommendations.

When you are signed in you will be able give a website or page a +1 if you decide you like it and you want to share it with other people. Your own profile page will show you all the +1’s you have given, because a new tab will appear once the system launches.

Will this system be a success?

We’ll have to wait and see whether Google Plus One is the next big thing from Google. The giant obviously hopes it will be, but the reality of the situation remains to be seen.

It is easy to see how people who already have a Google profile might give the system a try, but somehow it doesn’t quite offer enough for people to want to create a profile just to give things the thumbs up. There are already too many other ways of doing that on other sites.

In the latter months of 2010 when rumors were flying around the internet about the nature of this new Google project, some thought that it might be an entirely new social networking site. But it would appear that it isn’t.

Instead it is something that simply takes the Google search results to another level – a level that may or may not prove useful. It obviously all depends on whether you have a Google account and profile or not.

Until it has been available for a few months it is impossible to see whether Google will succeed at making a splash in the social networking scene with Google Plus One.

Network marketing prospecting is an interesting topic for many of us, as it is our main business model.  In this article we are going to look at how being a solutions provider can help you recruit more prospects, and I am sure you will agree that is a worthy aim.

What happens when you set yourself up as a solution provider is that the problems your potential clients have will lead them to you.  You will literally be recommended by clients to other clients because of your ability to solve a problem, and when you have their attention you can work at turning them into a client.  This is largely the principals behind network marketing prospecting, and can often be used to great affect.

One network marketing prospecting super plan, is to set yourself up as a web designer.  After designing a website for a client, they will need somewhere to host it.  By offering to register the domain they want and set up hosting, you can put their website under a reseller hosting account and make a monthly profit even after the initial sale is over.  In this way you can use the option of being a solution provider as your  means of network marketing prospecting, and build a long term income from offering web design at a cheaper cost than it is actually worth taking the job.

I just want to make sure you understand the point, so I am going to labor it.  Think of a service you could provide to a customer.  Here are some examples:

• Freelance writer
• Back link creation
• Write autoresponder courses
• Web designer
• Copywriter

As you can see any of those jobs allow the opportunity for network marketing prospecting, and I will explain how.

If you were a writer you could offer your prospects a special deal on web hosting, available only to your clients.

As a back link creator you could offer to create so many back links free to the root domain of a hosting account you would sign them up to.

If you offer to write autoresponder courses, you could offer to help set their autoresponder up for free.  In the process you sign them up under your affiliate link, thus giving you a monthly residual income.

As a web designer or copywriter, you again could offer special back linking deals on any sales page hosted under a reseller account you control.

These are just a few network marketing prospecting tips for you, but the key is in the loss leader.  A loss leader is a technique used by super market chains and McDonald’s alike.  It involves publicly announcing a key benefit you offer that is priced below what it is worth doing the job for, but then making money by selling your customers something extra in the process.  As a network marketing prospecting technique it works like a charm, and allows you to build vital connections that will help to boost your main business.

Facebook marketing is taking the internet world by storm at the moment, and it is no surprise at all.

Not only is facebook marketing very easy to get into, but it looks like Facebook are about to kick Google to the kerb. 

Did you hear about the planned search engine on Facebook?  It will completely wipe Google out.  As it is more people are logging into Facebook than searching Google, and when this is released Mark Zuckerburg will have the search market rapped up.

The reason Facebook marketing is so effective is precisely because of this huge growth, and loyal user base.  To start a group or fan club on Facebook cost you nothing.  Did I get you thinking yet?!?

Here is a plan to you can use today, to completely dominate Facebook.

First of all you need to find a CPA offer that you could build a fan club or group around.  Make sure it is one that doesn’t make people jump through to many hoops.

Next you set up a Facebook  group with a catchy name, that stays in the same niche as your CPA offer.

As soon as you have the group set up on Facebook you need to start adding content.  The content only needs to be a few posts a day, but most be interesting and relative to your blog.  Once you have done this for two days its time to kick the plan into overdrive.

Look down the left side of your Facebook group’s profile and you will see a button that says “Advertise your group”  This will take you to a version of Google Adwords,, but specifically for Facebook.  This is where Facebook marketing really starts.

You will need to have an interesting advertisement but don’t forget that Facebook users are known to be “click happy,” and respond very well to adverts.

Make sure you only target people within your niche, as this will vastly boost your click through rate. 

To start with you should set your bids at 10c per thousand impressions.  Unlike Goggle, Facebook users click everything, and with this in mind CPC is in my experience far more expensive.

Hopefully you have followed the plan so far, but now what do you do?!?

Time for the best part.

Now your group will take about 1 month to grow to the 20,000 followers mark, and an average of $80 spent on Facebook marketing, but once you hit the 20,000 mark it will go viral.

So many people will be recommending your group at that stage, that you no longer need to advertise, and it will keep growing.

As soon as you hit 20,000 followers stop paying for Facebook advertisements, and start marketing your CPA offer on your group page.  Every member of your group will get your pitch for the CPA offers, and as we know Facebook users are click happy.

This is a really easy Facebook marketing method, that really can earn you thousands of dollars within one month.

When you started your twitter account did you ever imagine those tweets about what you are doing would end up hanging out in the giant search engines such as powerhouse Google and the new up and coming challenger Bing which is Microsoft’s new search engine?

That time has come as both companies seek agreements with Twitter to integrate their feed into the Microsoft and Google search engine results. 

What Does That Mean For Me?

It means more exposure for you the marketer!  Twitter’s updates will now be indexed in real time by Bing & Google.  Microsoft’s Bing has said that they will now assign value to your tweets just as they have websites meaning the more value you present in your tweets the more likely your tweet could be seen by the millions of searches performed on the internet daily. 

Some of the criteria they will be looking at is how many followers you have and the length of your post and if you include links in your tweet. 

Originally Microsoft was the first in talks with Twitter about this new relationship but Google soon followed behind refusing to let Microsoft’s Bing get an upper hand on them as the top search engine.  Microsoft (who paid $240 Million to hold 1.6% stake in Facebook) is countering by working with Facebook to index a portion of their updates also.  Facebook now has over 300 million users compared to Twitters over 50 million users, but a majority of Facebook’s profiles are not available to public so will not be able to be indexed by Bing.

For Twitter this will be their first introduction to some real revenue.  Microsoft & Google have not disclosed the compensation arrangement but I’m sure it’s a healthy amount, although Twitter say’s it’s not about the money.

Is the Exposure Worth the Hassle?

Both Google & Microsoft’s Bing have a challenge ahead because this is a new invitation for spammers to just spam their way into the search results.  Both companies will have to determine a way to filter relevant information from the irrelevant so it will be properly placed in search engine results.

I use Twitter alot and it does help in my business.  Of course you have to learn how to use twitter without it taking up to much of your time.  For some it does help with adding revenue in their business and for others it doesn’t.  All I can think of is the thousands upon thousand of useless tweets and spam that I have to filter through now I just hope they find a true 100% way to filter all that out.

Google and Microsoft’s Bing must have a clear plan already laid out to filter relevant results or they wouldnt have fought so hard to have this feature.  Only time will tell if this is a good thing or a bad thing for marketers.  I can’t wait to see what they have in store for us.

Networking is one of the best avenues to build up your business.  It helps to increase your awareness and your customer base.  It also gives you professional resources to enhance and strengthen your skills and knowledge. 

You should consider networking both online and offline  as they are both great ways to market yourself.  Some examples of networking offline include joining local associations and organizations.  Some examples of networking online are joining forums, chat rooms and social networking sites like BetterNetworker.  Heres how to strengthen your social network:

Step One – Figure out what your networking goals are.

For alot of people the best strategy for their social networking is centered around building relationships.  Some of the different relationships you can build through networking  include:

* Joint venture (JV) partnerships
* Mentor relationships 
* Friends and resources
* Customers

You have to make a  social strategy as to how you are going to network with the various individuals.  Are you looking to seek partnerships or looking for mentors or a combination of above?  No matter what the answer, you have to map out a plan of action so you dont overwhelme yourself.

Next, you have to create your networking plan.

You will want to start by answering some questions:

* Who is your target audience?
* What relationships are you looking to find and build?
* What do you have to offer them?
* What networking sites or organizations will you participate in?
* How are you going to represent yourself online?
* How often are you going to post/participate? 
* Will you create specific promotions and offers for your networking audience?

Third, choose the websites and organizations you are going to join.
Whether it be a local organization or a website that you join, keep in mind your social strategy and your goals. Gauge whether or not the place you choose to join is going to take you a step further towards reaching your goals before you decide to join them.  What can they do for you?

For instance, if you’re wanting to start a joint venture partnership then you may consider joining a professional networking site, or a chat room, or forum that is in the same industry as you.  This will get you where you need to be and meeting the right individuals.  If you more want to create a loyal customer base and brand yourself then you may want to join a social networking site.

Networking sites are usually valued by the amount of members they have but more importantly you want to make sure the site you join is in line with the type of business you are in.  If you sell medicare insurance to seniors and are looking for an older market then you might not want to have a social networking profile up on MySpace since the primary market for Myspace is the younger generation.

Last, You Have to Participate in your networks.  The only way networking will work is if you participate.  Here are a few tips on interaction when you are networking online or offline.

Be engaged. The main purpose of networking is so you can connect with other people.  Communicate with your network in a manner that they can respond to.  Use their language, and address issues that they will find interesting and want to read about.  Provide resources and information that they will benefit from.

Be consistent and update on a regular basis.  If you are going to develop a following online then you have to stay connected with your reader base, it’s important to regularly update content so they will keep an interest in your work.  Since many folks have made it a habit of doing some type of networking online once a day (like myself I keep access to my main social networking site all day long), it’s important to stop by and add some value.  This could merely be you commenting on a blog post from someone on your social networking site.  If you cannot regularly spend time on the sites you may want to consider the hiring of a virtual assistant.

Keep your sales pitches to a minimum.  Offer value first and expect to receive later.  Networking is more about the give then the receive.  The giving turns into sales in the long run.

Ping.fm is a program designed to help make your post to your social networks that you belong to a lot easier.  First thing you want to do is go to http://ping.fm and sign up.  You will see that the design of the website is easy to navigate.  With Ping.fm you have the ability to post messages either via their website or also through their mobile application where you can send post over your cell phone while you are on the go.

Once you sign up and you sign in first thing you want to do is find all the social networking sites that you belong to and add the network to your list.  You can add networks such as:  Facebook, MySpace, Yahoo360, LinkedIn, Friendster, Hi5, Bebo, Delicious, Mashable, BrightKite, Xanga and much much more.

After you have setup your networks you are ready to post messages.  The good thing about this program is that you have the ability to post status updates, blogs, and micro blogs.  You can pick and choose which network you want to post what message with using triggers so every message doesnt have to go to the same place.  You can also post images and it will soon give you the ability to post video.  Got a website with a long link?  When you ping your message it can also shorten your link if you want or you can keep it the way it is.

In short I love this program because it makes it alot easier for  me to send out my post to the network I want without having to log into each site.  This will definitely cut your time it takes to manage your social applications.
