I’m a big fan of all music types from classical music to country music to hip hop and R & B. The thing I like about good music is when it tells a story or it can lead you to a certain emotional state or feeling. Tha’ts what music is suppose to do, it’s suppose to inspire you.
If you are feeling down and out you can hear a certain song and you can relate to that song and maybe it will help to motivate you to get out of that mindstate. I wanted to share with you some songs that inspire me to push harder on a daily basis to reach my goals.
Paul Wall is a rapper that has put his own footprint on the industry. Born Paul Slayton he raps out of the Houston area and can be known and affiliated with Swisha House records and other artist such as Chamillionaire and UGK.
One of the things that you may or may not know about Paul Wall is his entreprenurial ambitions. Paul Wall is part owner of TV Jewelry with Johnny Dang in Houston where he is famous for his grill mouthpieces which was a huge exploding trend in the early part of 2000.
Paul Wall knows about working hard to get what you want. He was a part of promotional streat teams and producer of many underground mixtapes that brought recognition for the chopped and screwed up style. All that hard work paid off when he appeared on Mike Jones first commercial single “Still Tippin.”
One of Paul Wall’s newest CD’s out is called “Fast Life.” There are some songs on there that really push my buttons and motivate me. These are the songs that I put on my ipod and make my repeat category.
If you are motivated to make money then these two songs should inspire you. Let’s take a look at some of the lyrics on one of these songs:
(Verse 1)
Once upon a time, not too long ago
Down in the great state of Texas where we live life slow
I was born amongst poverty, I had no dough
Motivated by a dream with some hustle and flow
My paper was never long but my ambition was strong
Followin Gods path, I could never go wrong
I took a road less traveled and I got a few scrapes
But the journey was all worth it just to get that cake
Mama told me I would make it, some fools just laughed
But I remembered how The Bible say “The first shall be last.”
And even thought all the teams skipped over me in the draft
I ignored all the haters and perfected my craft
Times change, and nowadays to me it seem funny
The same people hatin, callin me up to borrow money
But i hold no grudge, I just forgave and forgot
I guess thats the reason I made it to the top
Take a look at me now…
(Hook)
Haters said that I would never get this paper
But Ima see my money regardless
Got the soul of a hustla
When it comes to gettin my bread…
…Im heartless
Take a look at me now
Take a look at me now
Take a look at me now
Take a look at me now
Take a look at me now
Now Let’s Break Some of These Lines Down
“I took a road less traveled and I got a few scrapes, But the journey was all worth it just to get that cake ,” - To me this says that it’s okay to be opportunistic and try things that other people wouldnt normally do. Taking such a risk will have its ups and downs but in the end you will have realize a greater reward for taking that risk.
“And even though all the teams skipped over me in the draft
I ignored all the haters and perfected my craft ” – How many haters have you come across that tell you that you can’t and wont make it? How many people have told you that your ideas and your dreams were crazy and that you were simply living a fantasy life.? When you tell someone you are starting your own business how many people have just laughed in your face? Are you shaking those haters off and mastering what you are best at?
“Times change, and nowadays to me it seem funny , The same people hatin, callin me up to borrow money” - What is it they say about karma…ha!! When you make it the same people that laughed in your face will be the same ones asking you for help in the future.
I hope you enjoyed the songs and the message they send. Maybe they give you a different message, but whatever the message is the main point is to realize what that message is and apply it to yourself and act upon it. You must get up and get motivated or face sittin on the couch forever.
If you want to hear all the song’s off the Paul Wall “Fast Life” cd then you can get more information here —–> Paul Wall “Fast Life”
What song’s motivate you and how do you apply them to your everyday life?
I am in no way affiliated with these links so feel free to read and see if this is something that you like. The way the product works is they take a sample of your urine and test it to determine how well your cells are using the nutrients and whether the nutrients are available to the cells. They take that information and develop a report to determine your three biochemical pathways:
Urinary Sulfates–A marker for sulfur reserves (needed for your liver’s detoxification processes).
Urinary Lipid Peroxides–A marker for oxidative stress (determines your general antioxidant status).
Urinary Nitrates–A marker for the regulation of nitric oxide (a compound involved in many body systems including your immune system, nervous system and circulatory system).
The end result is you are buying a custom multi-vitamin that will give you the nutrients needed to live a healthy life, it’s called the PrivaTest.
Donald Trump joining network marketing is creating a big buzz in the industry for one because of name recognition. Who wouldnt want to join into The Trump Network and be a part of a Donald Trump organization. Hopefully this company and the one’s that join it will be very successful, but I myself am not one for joining health and wellness opportunities.
The whole analyze your blood and urine to create the supervitamin has created alot of new network marketing companies lately, such as Genewize which is doing quite well. There is alot of competition in this market and the end result product is not something I truly believe in right now without more facts.
I guess down the road I will see if this is something I would want to join, but for now…I’m Staying Put!!
All in all it’s a good thing Donald Trump finally jumping on the network marketing scene as I do think this will add to the credibility of our industry. Do your due dillegence so in the future you can tell your boss…….YOU’RE FIRED!!!!!
Everyone wants to go around and say they are successful and of course everyone really wants to be successful but do you have to have the right ingredients to actually be successful?
What issuccess? Success can mean alot of different things to different people depending on where you come from. For some success is graduating high school, some graduating college may be successful to them. Some people want to make partner at their law firm and that spells success to them and some people want to be financially stable or build a family. Whatever success means to you without the proper mindset and focus you will never get anywhere.
So What Does It Take To Be Successful?
Well first you have to jump off the couch and get motivated. It feels so good and it’s alot safer to sit around and dream about what you are going to do and talk about what you are going to do, but if you dont get up and take action you will stay on that couch forever. Yes dreaming is good, but it’s not if you are not putting your thoughts to full action. Don’t sit around and tell everyone what you are going to do, JUST DO IT!!! There is no need to sell yourself by continous non productive talk. When you talk alot, but nothing ever happens people begin to notice and no one will take you seriously if you ever do really kick it in gear.
Once you finally decide to get up, it’s time to set some clear and attainable goals to reach. In the internet marketing world this may be to post something in your blog everyday or build your website, or publish an article in a directory. Maybe you have a goal that you want to have so many people in your list by a certain date. Whatever the case, set yourself clear goals and be sure that you are writing them down and meeting them on a daily basis. Reaching your goals on a daily basis is the building blocks of future success.
Absorb your industry knowledge!!! There are many different ways to make money on the internet, but if you dont properly know how to apply the principles you will never get past first base. You have to learn, learn, learn and absorb all the knowledge about your industry, your business and the customer you serve. Failure to know your industry will lead to self desctruction. As I’ve said before get on the list of people that are successful in your industry and find out what they do best..it’s okay to steal that knowledge. Read books, I especially like books that help to develop your mindset, your mindset is what keeps you going in the right direction. Become an expert in your field, which in turn increases your confidence.
With all that reading you may think you are becoming overwhelmed. Well dont get overwhelmed!! Once you start learning techniques on marketing try to focus on one technique at a time. See how that works out and see if it is your best marketing avenue. You may find that a particular way of marketing is not for you, well thats great, that means you can move on to the next technique and you dont waste your time on your weaknesses. Find your strong points and exploit them. Once you get good at a particular technique then you can start adding on another technique one at a time. Don’t move to quick you want to get this right!
Be consistent and do not accept failure!! This is why so many fail in the internet marketing industry. Yes it seems so easy and you think you can just jump in and make millions right? Well that’s completely wrong and money doesnt just come over night in this industry. You have to be patient and keep at the little things so you can build your internet empire. Consistently do productive things and your business will get where you want it to be sooner than later. The key thing is to not accept failure. It may take you over a year before you notice that your business is starting to move somewhere, it may take even longer.
Dont let the money make you? There are countless people that market on the internet and when they make their first commission check, they lose that warrior mindset that they had in the beginning. They start to slack up and not do things on days they should have and lose all productivity that they once had. Just because you may have made your first $100, or $1,000 or even $10,000 doesnt make you invincible. You still have to stick to the basics and never lose sight on how you got where you are. Stay humble it will pay off in the long run.
It’s been a long April and I’ve been really busy with my new website I’m creating. I’ve also been really busy kicking it with the family and having lots of fun. Easter was really good for me. I know my mom also enjoyed herself as this was her first year with her new granddaughter Aeriona. Yes she is named after me : )
Anyways…I wanted to just share with you some photos of my new daughter…Well she is 4 months old now, and her sister and my oldest daughter Amari. Yes I know I’m a little late but here are some of their Easter photos. I’ll be back in touch soon, but otherwise enjoy your day!!!
Five Tips to Beat Procrastination Procrastination is something that everyone struggles with, I know me personally this was one of my biggest issues, and I still struggle with it from time to time. Why do it now if I can do it later? That type of attitude is the beginning of the end when it comes to getting any type of work done whether it be work or chores. I soon woke up to the fact that to be more productive means that I have to stop the procrastination. Dont let procrastination ruin your thought process. It can be a silent killer.
Why does a person procrastinate? One of the main reasons is the “fear factor.” The fear of failure is why alot of people procrastinate. If they dont put any effort into anything then they can never lose right? You have to understand that failure is going to happen so it’s best to fail at something that you can learn from so you can get better at it.
Totally opposite of fear of failure is the fear of being successful. Thats odd, wouldn’t I want to be successful? Some people see being successful as having the bar set real high for yourself therefore you have to keep up or maintain that certain level of success and it can become a chore. The pressure of being successful can cause you to stop work and procrastinate.
Another cause of procrastination is stress. A person will think it is easier to just hide a problem and not deal with it than taking the problem on and meeting the challenge head first. The stress of having to take that task on will cause you to procrastinate in cause leading to more stress.
Here are some ways to change your mindset and beat procrastination.
1. Make a list. When I worked for corporate America alot of my day I felt overwhelmed and at the end of the day I had no idea what I had done that day. So I started to make a list of all the things I had to do that day. Every report, every task, every meeting I would put on this list. I would add deadlines on the list so it could be prioritized. Every time I finished a task I would cross it off. It’s good to look at your list throughout the day so you can have a sense of accomplishment and by the end of the day you can see the progress you have made in your day and know that you have done something productive with your day.
2. Work hard, play hard! I think this was a chore value at one of my old jobs. You know the saying “all work and no play.” You have to schedule some downtime in your day to just take a break and relax. When you are working you will sometimes find yourself thinking about taking a break and doing something else with your time. Well it’s okay to take breaks throughout your day. Make sure you get up and walk away from your work so you will feel refreshed when you get back. Be sure to schedule out these breaks so you dont find yourself thinking about the break while you could be working which henders productivity. This way you can stay focused on your work.
3. Don’t overload your work schedule. If you have alot of things on your plate then just the thought of doing it will cause you to procrastinate. Only put as much on your schedule as you can handle so you wont find yourself losing your mind trying to complete everything. You are more productive when you can easily manage your task and you will not have a problem with missing your deadlines.
4. Find coping mechanisms. As I said earlier stress can lead to procrastination. You have to find ways to destress yourself before it effects your work. You need to find ways to relax, you can learn things like different breathing techniques, join your local gym, take a walk around the block anything that relaxes you and your body and mind so you can take on your work with a refreshed feeling.
5. Stay organized. Another thing I learned in the corporate world is that if you are not organized you will not be productive. My desk used to be full of piled up paperwork, folders, sticky notes everywhere and every morning when I would walk in it just made me not want to do anything because I didnt know where to start. So I got organized and developed myself a system for my daily task. Without organization and a system you will not be able to find the file you are looking for or article you were suppose to write instead you will find yourself procrastinating on finding that information causing less productivity. Keep your desk neat so you can easily find what you need at the right time.
Use the above tips to help beat procrastination. Procrastination comes from within you and your mind so remember it can be beat if you work at it. Doing so will increase your productivity and help you to be more successful on a daily basis.
This is a chilling video that shows you the reality of what is going on to some people. This is a story about a man that went from being a CEO making up to $750,000 to a pizza man making $7.29 per hour +tips!!
As you can tell that is a dramatic drop in earnings and his family is now on the verge of losing their home. While I do hope the economy strengthens to the point that people that choose to work do not have to live with the fear of losing their job and losing their home, this is a call to action to those on the fence of starting their own home based business.
What are you waiting for?
Dont let a life changing event force you to your lowest level before you committ to action. Get an action plan together now so you can secure your future.
The best way to make money out of the home is online marketing or network marketing. Online marketing can range from selling informational guides, how to products, to nutritional products, to high end products. You can also get into the affiliate marketing aspect of things and sell other peoples products. The good thing about network marketing is that once you make a sale of a product you then have the opportunity to earn money off of other peoples efforts, thus creating residual income.
How Do I Get Started?
Step 1. Make a serious committment with yourself to start your own home business and to not accept failure.
Step 2. Explore the many different products available in the network and affiliate marketing industry and decide what is the best fit for you. Be sure to read over the company, the pay plan, the owners, how long they have been in the business and also read other peoples reviews of the business before you decide to join. Also be sure the product is something that you believe in as if you dont want the product yourself it is useless trying to sell it to the next person.
Step 3. Educate Yourself. If you are not educated about internet marketing then how will you be successful? How will you teach and guide others to be successful? Take ownership of your new business and learn every thing you can about it. You will learn alot about internet marketing by reading through my blog.
Step 4. Take Action. Many home business owners love the idea of having their own business and all the perks that come with it but they fail to take any action to truly get it started. Making business cards or a website does not mean you are a business owner. When you start taking the action to market yourself and following up with prospective clients and make your first sale then you are a true business owner.
Step 5. Be Consistent. Everyday you should be doing something to market your business whether it be writing an article, updating your website, improving your landing page, optimizing your website, split testing your PPC campaign, anything that will potentially end up in you profiting.
Never give up, as they say Rome was not built in a day and your home business won’t be either. Just because you dont see the results you want right away does not mean you are doing something wrong or that it wont happen in the future. It takes time to build your business and you have to be patient and keep working at it. If you do step 5 and constantly improve on your business you can not fail.
I would love to hear of any other tips are comments you have to help others get started in their own home based business.
Let’s face it, internet marketing is not as easy as it sounds like it should be. Very few are successful in owning their own internet business due to many different factors. The good news is that there are a few successful marketers out there and alot of them are willing to share how they got to the next level in their marketing efforts. The best way to learn how to be successful online is to follow the ones that have already been there and use their best practices to optimize your income.
Everyone needs a mentor to help guide them to success. Even the top marketers have someone that they consider their mentor or someone that helped them to the next level in the industry. Without that guidance one may be doomed to failure. Internet marketing employs a variety of different tactics that if not done correctly could leave you feeling like your business has no future and possibly cause you to quit before you even get started.
When you are new to the industry it can be a bit overwhelming trying to figure out who to listen to and who to completely ignore. There are so many self pro-claimed ”gurus” on the internet it’s very easy to get sucked in by someone who has absolutely no experience at all or does not have the proper ability to train you so you too can be successful. Alot of internet marketing products out there will only teach you so far and will not give you the exact ingredients to fully be a success, leaving you with still plenty of room for error.
So where do I start? Myself personally I follow many top internet marketers. I have joined many email list and subscribed to a number of blogs. Usually these are affiliate marketers that are willing to teach you some of their methods to success without charging you in hopes that you buy their products sometime in the future. I don’t join these list to buy their products, although from time to time you will come across some great deals, I join so I can see how these successful people market to their audience.
Below I compiled a brief list of people that help influence and motivate you. Google these names and join their list so you can start learning right away:
Frank Kern
Mike Dillard
Todd Falcone
Joel Comm
Craig Perrine
Brad Callen
Eben Pagan
Mike Filsaime
Howie Schwartz
Jeff Johnson
John Reese
Michael Cheney
Keith Wellman
Ryan Deiss
Perry Marshall
Stompernet
This is only a brief list and you may have others that you follow and learn from. Remember these people have a wealth of information to offer to you and you may want to buy some of their products, but if anything analyze everything they do, take notes, and implement action.
I invite you to comment and let the readers know who your mentor is and why you choose to follow them.
Are you stressed out? Stress is a major factor in today’s society. There are so many economic pressures in this world with every major company either going out of business or on their way out the door. Some of us don’t know if when we go into work that day if this will be our last day or not. I have a few personal friends who have already been laid off of corporate society. So what do you do if you are still working in the corporate world?
We can learn to live with it in peace or let it destroy our lives. One of the most stressful places is the workplace, so I wanted to share with you 10 tips to help reduce your work stress and enjoy your work life:
1. Prepare yourself mentally before work. Don’t get caught up in the negative atmosphere in the workplace, instead focus on the positive and dont indulge in the gossip and negative conversation that brings down the office morale. Negative talk in the workplace is like a virus and it’s hard to resist but you have to or you will find yourself taking that negativity home.
2.Go To Sleep!!! The rule always has been and still is you need to get seven to eight hours of sleep a night to give your body time to repair and be ready for a new day. Not sleeping causes jitters, lack of cocentration, irritability and other health problems. Plus it’s just relaxing to get some sleep in.
3. Leave early in the morning, DONT RUSH! I like to give myself an extra fifteen or twenty minutes before I go anywhere and I like to arrive early, because you never know what you have in store for yourself once you get out the house. Traffic jams, accidents, and car problems can turn that easy thirty minute commute into a forty-five minute one. With no time built in for error, you’ll stress out easily. It feels better to get to work and have some time to unwind before you have to get started.
4. Work your body out and stay in shape. Exercise strengthens the body and the mind. Stronger muscles and more blood flow to the brain increases clarity and decision making. You won’t get as stressed when your body is strong enough to fight it! It doesnt have to be anything big, just hop on the treadmill every once in a while, it’s actually relaxing.
5. Eat healthy. Watch the foods you eat because eating the wrong foods can affect your body and your work. Eating a heavy meal for lunch can make you lethargic all afternoon which ruins your focus and productivity. I know after lunch if I eat to big I’m ready to call it quits. Pick healthier alternatives to keep the body in good condition.
6. Don’t overwork yourself. Make your workload manageable. Trying to do to much in one day is highly stressful, even it out like a good diet. There is always tomorrow if you have to get something done the next day. Create a fifteen minute window between engagements in case one runs longer than you expected.
7. Delegate your work to others. I know it feels better if you do it yourself, but that’s the reason to have other teammates is for the help. Who said that you have to do it all? Share your work to avoid the stress involved with figuring out every detail.
8. Take breaks throughout the day. It doesnt have to be a super long break, but take some time away from your work to clear your head. While on break completely erase work from your mind that is your time to yourself. You need to get away from your desk and maybe walk around a little bit. If you stay by your desk you are more tempted to dive back into that pile of work. Stay at your desk and it wont even feel like you took a break.
9. Learn to communicate effectively. The majority of hard feelings come from misunderstandings. Don’t let your work issues build up in your mind or you will find yourself more stressed in the long run. Then at some point you may just want to snap and let it all out and trust me it wont come out the way you want it to. You dont want to get the rerputation for a person with a bad attitude around the office, this could lead to verbal arguments and lead to you getting fired.
10. Avoid bad habits. Smoking cigarettes or drinking alcohol sounds like a great way to reduce stress but it causes addictions and it will be hard to let it go. This will lead to more stress in the long run, plus the cost of cigarettes and alcohol is soaring out the roof. Alcohol is a depressant and nicotine will only heighten your anxiety.
Stress can help you or hinder you. Learn to manage it in the workplace.
