5 Tips To Becoming A Powerful Internet Marketer

Posted by Aerion Miles on under internet marketing | 11 Comments to Read

Powerful Man Breaking IceInternet marketing training is a vital part of your potential success.  In this post I will give you five killer internet marketing training tips, and I hope they will improve your overall ability to make money from the internet.

Internet Marketing Training Tip 1

Go to Ezinearticles or Goarticles and look for the top articles in your niche.  I don’t suggest you take anything at face value in these articles, or to do what they say.  What you need to do is look at what they are doing.  Ignore what these top performing articles are telling you, and instead look at what the marketer is doing themselves.

For instance if they have a simple plan involving several steps, then look at how they are presenting their products/course.  This will tell you much more than just believing the words they tell you, as you can either look at what is presented from a customers point of view, or as a competing marketer.

Internet Marketing Training Tip 2

Look at your inbox, I am sure you will see it is full of rubbish.  Before we begin this training tip you need to turn off the “buy” impulse, because I want you to read your spam.

Go through your inbox and spam folder and try and find the offers that make you want to reach for your credit card.  Make a short list of the best, and then go to their webpages and see which really push you into determined buyer mode, and stop.  Now go back to their email and look at what they wrote that got you to click through to their webpage.   It is never just that they have a good offer, there is always more to it.

Once you have a good idea of what psychological tricks they used, it is time to move onto their webpage.  This internet marketing training is really grass roots work, and the reason it is effective is because you aren’t listening to hype, you are learning how to effectively create it.  If you can learn how they reel you in and make you a buyer, you can do the same in your own campaigns.

Internet Marketing Training Tip 3

Look for one or two people to follow and ignore the rest.  A major problem people have when learning this trade, is information overload.  Don’t let 50 differing opinions keep distracting you from your goals.

Internet Marketing Training Tip 4

Focus on one goal to the exclusion of all else.  One absolute killer in your path to success, is trying to move in many directions at once.  What happens when you try to walk left and right at the same time?  You fall on your butt, and the same happens in business.

The key to making something work isn’t in picking a great idea or the latest trend, it is just in sticking with something.  If you want to succeed you need to establish what your business is going to be, and then just persevere and ignore all distractions.

Internet Marketing Training Tip 5

Build an autoresponder list, because it is the most important long-term plan you have.  Whatever your website is based around you should find something you can give away if people join your list, and really try and push this aspect.  When you have a large list of people interested in your niche that you can bulk email at a click, you will really start earning money.

You may have heard the internet marketers prayer “the money is in the list,” and I say prayer because it seems to be said with a degree of hope that seems strange to many.  If you build a list of 10,000 people you will probably be able to make a very good full-time living, just from sending offers to your list.  That is the reason everyone is so over the top on the issue, because it really is that important.

Hopefully these internet marketing training tips have helped you, but don’t forget the importance of focus and persistence.  This is your business we are talking about, so do it right.

How Becoming A Solutions Provider Will Help You To Recruit More Prospects

Posted by Aerion Miles on under Branding, Social Networking | 15 Comments to Read

solutionNetwork marketing prospecting is an interesting topic for many of us, as it is our main business model.  In this article we are going to look at how being a solutions provider can help you recruit more prospects, and I am sure you will agree that is a worthy aim.

What happens when you set yourself up as a solution provider is that the problems your potential clients have will lead them to you.  You will literally be recommended by clients to other clients because of your ability to solve a problem, and when you have their attention you can work at turning them into a client.  This is largely the principals behind network marketing prospecting, and can often be used to great affect.

One network marketing prospecting super plan, is to set yourself up as a web designer.  After designing a website for a client, they will need somewhere to host it.  By offering to register the domain they want and set up hosting, you can put their website under a reseller hosting account and make a monthly profit even after the initial sale is over.  In this way you can use the option of being a solution provider as your  means of network marketing prospecting, and build a long term income from offering web design at a cheaper cost than it is actually worth taking the job.

I just want to make sure you understand the point, so I am going to labor it.  Think of a service you could provide to a customer.  Here are some examples:

  • Freelance writer
  • Back link creation
  • Write autoresponder courses
  • Web designer
  • Copywriter

As you can see any of those jobs allow the opportunity for network marketing prospecting, and I will explain how.

If you were a writer you could offer your prospects a special deal on web hosting, available only to your clients.

As a back link creator you could offer to create so many back links free to the root domain of a hosting account you would sign them up to.

If you offer to write autoresponder courses, you could offer to help set their autoresponder up for free.  In the process you sign them up under your affiliate link, thus giving you a monthly residual income.

As a web designer or copywriter, you again could offer special back linking deals on any sales page hosted under a reseller account you control.

These are just a few network marketing prospecting tips for you, but the key is in the loss leader.  A loss leader is a technique used by super market chains and McDonald’s alike.  It involves publicly announcing a key benefit you offer that is priced below what it is worth doing the job for, but then making money by selling your customers something extra in the process.  As a network marketing prospecting technique it works like a charm, and allows you to build vital connections that will help to boost your main business.

Personal Branding: Why You Should Brand Yourself & Not Your Opportunity

Posted by Aerion Miles on under Branding | 27 Comments to Read

cow brandingThere are a number of reasons why personal branding is important, and I intend to hammer home the point, so be warned.

To start with an opportunity that may seem brilliant today, may seem out dated tomorrow, and if you have built your business around this brand, you’re in trouble.  Imagine if Google had a free tool, and you build your entire business around teaching people to use it.  All of a sudden Google or someone else brings out a better tool and your website is left as the solar powered gramophone.  Interesting but completely pointless.

Now consider if you had concentrated on personal branding, and instead of your product or course, people came to hear what you say.  If its you not your product you have built up, then when the next big thing comes out, they all rush to see what you have to say.

The internet changes everyday, piece by piece in small but definite ways.  Either you are building a business based around your personal branding, or the branding of your product.    The trick is to maintain the ability to be fluid like the market you are operating in.  Be like Google who change as necessary, and not Bing who have left themselves no where to go.

Hopefully you now understand that if you aren’t working on personal branding, you are wasting your time.  On the other-hand, if you build your business around your personal reputation then the changes that come to the industry will not affect you.  I know…I know, you now agree, but how do you do it?

Personal branding really isn’t as hard as you may think.  To start with you need to forget about promoting other guru’s and so called experts, and seize that role for yourself.  If you publicly continue talking about how someone else’s product is so great, and how wonderful they are, then you just look a fool.  If the other person knows so much, why are they listening to you instead of going to listen to the source.  That person who did work on personal branding and managed to get you to so heartily recommend them, isn’t going to return the favor.  They will not only sell to the customer, but also increase their reputation and hopefully sell again and again to them.

Personal branding lesson 2

One of the most important methods for personal branding you can use involves your messages to your list.  Forget generic sales jargon, and try making it personal.  Don’t forget the old axiom “people buy from people,” because it is as true online as offline.

If you use personal branding in your email campaigns, you will see an improvement in your sales ratio.   So to achieve this personal branding effect you need to do several things.

  • Include something personal
  • Mention your family
  • Talk about how you did something, instead of how they should do it
  • Ask for their opinions

The trick with personal branding is to become a real person, and break through the computer barrier to your readers.  Don’t worry this isn’t hard, you just have to forget most of the sales rubbish you have learned from so called guru’s.  If you are on vacation with your family, don’t be afraid to mention it.  Often mentioning something from your day to day life that is similar to their’s will cause more of a connection than some brilliantly bullet pointed sales lingo.

Do talk about your family in your emails, and do ask for peoples opinions.  Remember your aim with personal branding is primarily to let them know you are a real person.

Now when the market shifts and you are left out in the cold, it doesn’t matter.  If you have worked on personal branding, the first place your customers will come to look for something better is you.  Seriously you will receive emails telling you that they would rather buy from you, but someone else is offering blah blah, and could you offer something similar.

Always build your name instead of the product you are promoting.  If you have personally branded yourself sufficiently shifts in the market cannot harm you, and if your product becomes inferior you can update it without a hitch.

So what does personal branding really mean?  It means being you just as hard as you can, and letting people see.  I am not suggesting something complicated, just that you allow your personality to come across in your words, and build a reputation with your list and website visitors.

How To Effectively Avoid Information Overload

Posted by Aerion Miles on under Getting Started | 16 Comments to Read

As a person seeking information online, you will no doubt have been subjected to a barrage of conflicting ideas.  This inevitably leads to a total state of information overload, where your mind simply rebels by refusing to take in any more information.

There are ways to combat this information overload effect, and hopefully if you take my advice you will know how.

First log in to your email account and make a list of just how many marketer’s lists you are currently subscribing to.  I bet it is at least ten, and I guarantee not more than two will be offering you anything but conflicting advice. If you want to deal with information overloads debilitating effects, you need to go through these useless people unsubscribing from their lists.  Don’t get me wrong, if following their advice is helping you, then by all means continue.  The truth is if you get told to do one thing five different ways, you will end up doing nothing but feeling confused.

The problem with the internet today is that anybody can proclaim themselves an expert, and anybody can use Photoshop to manufacture proof.  Information overload often occurs when five supposed experts tell you there is only one method that will work, but they all pick a different method.  I recommend you whittle this list of supposed experts down to just a few contenders for your attention, and then don’t subscribe to anyone else’s list.

Yes the internet is a great source of knowledge, but it is also a great source of misinformation.  The main tip I can tell you in your goal to escape information overload, is to simply focus on one thing.  Mark out your goals and the tasks along the way that you need to do to achieve these goals, and then don’t get distracted.  Information overload is only caused because you are trying to follow to many peoples advice at the same time, so stop listening to them, and just focus your efforts in one area.

I know what your thinking, if you are suppose to stop listen to supposed experts, why not start with me.  At least you are catching on, but the truth is I am not another internet marketer peddling plop, but someone who has realized that helping his readers is the true key to success.  I don’t suggest you listen to me exclusively as that would be silly.  I may not be even talking about the issues that help your primary goal, but I will at least be on your side.  I recommend you go through your email inbox and cross off anyone who has forgotten that they are supposed to be helping you, and in this way you should be able to lesson the effects of information overload.

Trust me I know what it is like.  When I first started out I was going in every direction at once, and arriving nowhere.  It was only when I learned that all these peoples supposed advice amongst sales pitches only offered me information overload and paralysis, that I crossed them off and concentrated on building a real business.  Hopefully you will learn the same lesson soon, as you to many people simply give up because of their confusion and information overload.

The Importance of A Killer Headline On Your Salespage?

Posted by Aerion Miles on under Copywriting | 16 Comments to Read

woman thinkingWriting headlines is not as easy as it may at first appear.  While it seems that all you have to do is write something catchy to keep the viewer on the page to read the rest of your website, in actual fact having a proper understanding of what triggers people to keep on reading or leave website, is as much an art form as a technique.

Copywriters usually charge upwards of $3000 to work on a one page advert, and they all say that the two most important parts are the headline and the closing argument.

Why do you think it is that people regularly pay $3000 or more for just one page of text.  It certainly is not out of a sense of duty to provide employment to fellow marketers, as this would be a business ethic doomed to fail.  So the only logical answer must be that writing headlines is extremely important to your chances of making a sale from your webpage.

That makes more sense now doesn’t it. So now that you know the importance of writing headlines and great copy for your sales page, let’s find out what you can do to make yours better.

Remember how I said writing a headline can be as much an art as a technique.  While the reason for this is that there is no correct answer to what you should write.    A headline that seems to be brilliant on one website, when used on your own could be terrible.  You have to bear in mind the style you are using to write your web copy, and make sure that when you are writing headlines you maintain the same style.

For instance if you have a very formal sounding headline, but a very chatty and personal sales page, then the two are going to clash.  You need to make sure that when you are writing a headline you maintain the same style and enthusiasm that you have used within the rest of the website.

Go look at some other people’s websites, and see what headlines they have used and how those headlines are connected to what is on the rest of the page.

When writing headlines the most important thing to remember is to grab the attention of the reader and direct them below to the rest of your sales copy.  The job of your headline is not to sell your product but just to encourage curiosity, you have the rest of your webpage to turn that curiosity into an urge to buy.  Hopefully by the time they get to the bottom of the website they will be fairly interested in buying your product, and your closing argument is what tips them over the edge into buying mode.

Remember that each part of your sales copy has its own job, and do not try and confuse the roles that the different parts play.

Above all you should remember that the only way you will write good headlines is by practicing and testing.  When you have a good amount of traffic coming to your web site every day, I suggest rotating your headlines daily to see which is the most effective.  This is the only proven method of accurately writing headlines that do their job. Testing, testing, tweaking and more testing.

Good luck, and don’t forget that if what you’re doing does not work, change it and try again.

Facebook Marketing; Is it The New Google?

Posted by Aerion Miles on under Social Networking, Website Traffic | 18 Comments to Read

facebook fan pageFacebook marketing is taking the internet world by storm at the moment, and it is no surprise at all.

Not only is facebook marketing very easy to get into, but it looks like Facebook are about to kick Google to the kerb.

Did you hear about the planned search engine on Facebook?  It will completely wipe Google out.  As it is more people are logging into Facebook than searching Google, and when this is released Mark Zuckerburg will have the search market rapped up.

The reason Facebook marketing is so effective is precisely because of this huge growth, and loyal user base.  To start a group or fan club on Facebook cost you nothing.  Did I get you thinking yet?!?

Here is a plan to you can use today, to completely dominate Facebook.

First of all you need to find a CPA offer that you could build a fan club or group around.  Make sure it is one that doesn’t make people jump through to many hoops.

Next you set up a Facebook  group with a catchy name, that stays in the same niche as your CPA offer.

As soon as you have the group set up on Facebook you need to start adding content.  The content only needs to be a few posts a day, but most be interesting and relative to your blog.  Once you have done this for two days its time to kick the plan into overdrive.

Look down the left side of your Facebook group’s profile and you will see a button that says “Advertise your group”  This will take you to a version of Google Adwords,, but specifically for Facebook.  This is where Facebook marketing really starts.

You will need to have an interesting advertisement but don’t forget that Facebook users are known to be “click happy,” and respond very well to adverts.

Make sure you only target people within your niche, as this will vastly boost your click through rate.

To start with you should set your bids at 10c per thousand impressions.  Unlike Goggle, Facebook users click everything, and with this in mind CPC is in my experience far more expensive.

Hopefully you have followed the plan so far, but now what do you do?!?

Time for the best part.

Now your group will take about 1 month to grow to the 20,000 followers mark, and an average of $80 spent on Facebook marketing, but once you hit the 20,000 mark it will go viral.

So many people will be recommending your group at that stage, that you no longer need to advertise, and it will keep growing.

As soon as you hit 20,000 followers stop paying for Facebook advertisements, and start marketing your CPA offer on your group page.  Every member of your group will get your pitch for the CPA offers, and as we know Facebook users are click happy.

This is a really easy Facebook marketing method, that really can earn you thousands of dollars within one month.

Enjoy

Four Tips To Successful Listbuilding

Posted by Aerion Miles on under Website Traffic | 15 Comments to Read

As a marketer, an online business or anyone looking to profit from the internet, there is one thing you need.

Building your list is the most important thing you can do as an online business.  Listbuilding is not just a good idea, it honestly is the only long term plan with any value.

When you have a list, you have a means of making money any time you like.  So you need to build your list, and your looking for listbuilding tips right?

Here are 4 tips to successful listbuilding, that if used will sky rocket your success.  Don’t assume that merely reading them and moving on will help you in anyway though.

I am going to tell you 4 REAL tips, that DO work IF YOU USE THEM.

Giveaway Events

Giveaway events are excellent ways to boost your list quickly.

First of all you need to go and find some giveaway events, and this shouldn’t be hard as they are everywhere.

Next you need to sign up for them.  In most cases this is free and you will only be charged if you want to have an offer for the customer, after they have downloaded your free gift.

You can use any old PLR from your hard drive, but it will work best if you re-brand it.  I recommend a new cover, and making sure the text inside makes sense as you don’t want a resentful list.

Add your offer to all the giveaway events you can, and you will see a huge increase in your listbuilding success.  It really works, so give it a go.

Just Ask

When you have a list you should be giving them great value for staying on your list.  If you don’t do this you are sabotaging your listbuilding activities.  Great so your offering value and your list love you, but have you actually asked anyone in your list to recommend you to others.

Think about it for a second.  You have been offering huge value, and your list appreciate it.  Why not simply ask them if there is anyone they know that would appreciate being on your list.

The best way to do this is to have a webpage up with a recommend a friend script.  This makes it very simple for people to help you with your listbuilding activities, and believe it or not, some will.

The Incentive For Help

This listbuilding method is a variant on the last, which can also go viral.

First you need to set up a 3 page website specifically for this method.  First you have page 1 for your current list.  This is where they use a “tell a friend” script, which once used will send them to page 3 where they get a free gift.

Page 2 should be similar to page 1 but gives them a small gift if they sign up to your list before sending them on to page 1 for the process above to repeat.

By using this method you list will happily recommend you to others to get something they want for free.  The newly recommended people come to see what the fuss is all about, and sign up to your list to get the product.  They are then taken to page 1 where they get a little product and then recommend your list to get the better product at page 3.

If your lucky this method can quickly go viral, and is a lot cheaper than standard listbuilding advertising.

Viral Marketing

This simple little plan is highly effective and you are going to love it.

First you need to make a status message on facebook saying

“This status message entitles me to enter the “win $100 from facebook” game.  For more info visit URL and to enter repost this message.  A winner shall be chosen at random after one week”

This very simple facebook message will go rapidly viral, as facebook users are known to be click happy.  While it will cost you $100 you could have thousands of back links from facebook, and all pointing to your sign up form.  This method will also generate huge interest in your offers very quickly.

I hope you take action on these listbuilding tips, as they really do work.
